Early Childhood Success
Aligning community programs, services, and resources to better prepare Oceanside’s children and young adults for success in college, career and life with an emphasis on improving the kindergarten readiness and early literacy of our youngest children living in poverty.
Every child enters school kindergarten ready
Every student is proficient in English Language Arts by the end of third grade
The Oceanside Promise’s Early Childhood Success Action Network is comprised of individuals and organizations committed to helping all children and young adults reach their fullest potential in college, career and life. The Action Network is co-chaired by Marie Town (Oceanside Public Library) and Silvia Alcantar (Vista Community Clinic). Our current priorities include:
Educate and Engage Parents and Families in Early Childhood Success (Prenatal through Third Grade)
Ensure Access to High Quality Early Care and Education
Build Bridges Between Early Childhood and K-3 Education
Ignite Community Ownership and Engagement in Early Childhood Success
Align and Pursue Funding Sources to Support Collaboration
The Early Childhood Success Action Network meets monthly in Oceanside. If you are interested in helping support kindergarten readiness and the overarching Action Network priorities, contact us.
The Oceanside Promise Early Childhood Success Action Network partners have developed a multi-year plan to guide their work. Learn more by reviewing the summary of the plan or the full plan.
